Night Vision Bushwalks

A wildlife experience with a difference

World Heritage-listed Nightcap National Park, 40 minutes from Byron, is lushly beautiful by day (the four-hour return walk to the base of Minyon Falls is a must), but this after-dark bushwalk wearing night-vision goggles – a world first – takes it up a notch by enabling you see the park’s nocturnal residents.

Forget running through the rainforest commando-style. This is a peaceful, almost-silent stroll, run by Byron-based Vision Walks, stopping often to watch spotted quolls, bandicoots, possums, frogs and the occasional carpet python in their element.

The four-hour tour includes transport to and from Byron Bay and ends with warming mugs of hot chocolate under the stars.
