Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) is 2.5 hours by air from New York, about 3.5
hours from the Midwest, and only 30 minutes from Miami.
Air Canada, American Airlines, Bahamasair,
Continental, Delta, JetBlue Airways, Spirit Airlines, US Airways, and a number
of charter airlines provide service from the U.S. to Nassau’s international terminal.
A new $198 million U.S. departures terminal opened in March 2011. Bright with cultural exhibits and art, it also includes restaurants and lounges with outdoor seating, Graycliff Cigar Lounge, and a kids play area.
The new international arrivals terminal opened in October 2012. The third and final phase of the project – construction of a domestic and international check-in hall and domestic arrival facility was completed in 2013.
The new facilities promise to accommodate 3 to 5 million more passengers with 34 additional gates.
