Musée de la Civilisation explores a variety of world cultures through a number of diverse exhibits.

Permanent exhibitions include People of Quebec…Then and Now, a fascinating and thorough history from New France to the present. Artifacts on display run the gamut from coins that date to 1643 to treasures from Expo 67 and the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics.

Encounter with the First Nations offers a modern glimpse into the lives of 11 native nations of the province.

Boasting 10 exhibition spaces in all, you could spend all day – or at least come back. Admission allows for re-entry during the same day.

Free admission on Tuesdays from early November through late May, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays in January and February.

In high season you can save a few bucks by purchasing an admission ticket combo ($21 for adults) to Musée de la Civilisation, Musée de l’Amérique Française and the Place Royale Interpretation Centre.
