Although Louisville’s native son Muhammad Ali became famous for his boxing career, he was devoted to equality, peace and human rights. This six-story, 96,750 sq. ft. museum has all sorts of his boxing memorabilia, a film about his life and a full-sized boxing ring where a large projector shows Ali in his signature fight. There is also quite a few displays devoted to his causes. The outside of the building is an optical illusion, it looks like random blocks of color, but if you look carefully, you will see Ali’s silhouette.
