The Museum of Contemporary Art is the only museum in Los Angeles devoted exclusively to contemporary art, which they type as art produced after 1940. Today the museum is housed in three unique facilities: MOCA Grand Avenue, The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, and MOCA Pacific Design Center, which is located in the heart of West Hollywood.

MOCA Pacific Design Center features rotating exhibitions of architecture and design and specialty shopping at the MOCA Store. Artists and photographers from the MOCA’s permanent collection include Alberto Giacometti, Arshile Gorky, Piet Mondrian, Jackson Pollock, Franz Kline, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Rauschenberg, Agnes Martin, Julian Schnabel, Susan Rothenberg, Frank Stella, Cy Twombly, Brassaï, Robert Frank and Diane Arbus.
