The Mirage will stop you dead in your tracks with its faux Polynesian volcano exploding out front. Tropical scents waft from the lobby aquarium and a domed tropical conservatory into the casino. The high-stakes tables are ringed by a handful of trendy eateries: hit Stack before clubbing, get Eurasian bites at Japonais, swill liquored-up milkshakes at BLT Burger, devour pastrami sandwiches from Carnegie Deli, or pull up a chair at chef Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak.
After dark, down the perfect mojito at Rhumbar, just off the Strip. In the theater, The Beatles: LOVE is one of Cirque du Soleil‘s most sought-after show tickets. Nightclub 1OAK rules the late-night scene, while tiny Bare pool lounge keeps the party going on hot summer days. Do yourself a favor and skip Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat, as it’s overpriced, touristy, and almost guaranteed to make true animal lovers cry.
A free tram to TI (Treasure Island) departs from outside the Mirage’s main entrance.
