Set on Main Street near the southern end of Church Street, Mirabelles Cafe and Bakery has been a staple of the Burlington scene for over 25 years. The chef-owned bakery and breakfast/lunch café is popular with locals, and because of its small size, does fill up during peak hours and on weekends. The exceptionally friendly staff makes this a favorite spot for families.
In the morning, make sure to try their popover breakfast – a freshly baked popover served with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and a side of crisp hash browns. If it’s too crowded to find a seat or you just want to sit outside, grab some of their delicious pastries or a biscuit sandwich and head out for a picnic breakfast. And even if you’re not stopping by for breakfast or lunch, Mirabelles is worth a stop for the desserts alone – their eclairs and macaroons are both fantastic, and if you have enough people in your party to try one of the larger cakes, don’t miss the crème brûlée cake.
Mirabelles also offers groups menus — for breakfast you can choose an assortment of muffins, scones and croissants; for lunch a sandwich platter; and for dessert a delicious assortment of small pastries.
