It’s not the stunning architecture that transports you to modern Barcelona, but the food! Mercat al la Planxa, located on the southeast corner of the Blackstone Hotel, is tapas-style, where the highly celebrated Latin cuisine master, Jose Garces is the executive chef (he won the second season of Iron Chef). If you’re unsure about what to order, try the Oxtail Empanads to start, but their wait staff is very friendly and well informed so ask away. The Suckling Pig is a rare experience that feeds 6-8 people, but plan ahead as there is a 3-day advance notice before feasting.
