Even if you are not a fan of gardens, a visit here should not be missed. These are the only coastal botanical gardens on the West Coast and they sure take advantage of those Pacific Ocean vistas. A jaunt along the coastal bluffs is sure to make you appreciate fog, gardeners and the outdoors.
In spring when the rhododendrons bloom, framing the fog-covered sea and cliffs, you’ll be transported to another world. In winter, whale watching is excellent, as are the abundant flowering heather. Meander through the fern-covered canyons, past the blooming camellias and magnolias, and along the flower-filled coastal bluffs overlooking the ocean.
