Fresh seafood, veal and steak are uniquely local in this popular casual restaurant which is often voted by locals as the best in Bluffton.
Recommended lunch or starters for dinner are the Daufuskie Style Crab Cake or the Baked Oysters Bluffton a la Caplan. In fact, any oyster dish when in season is prepared with the juicy mollusk scooped up from the May River by the Oyster Company just a couple of blocks away. Try a bowl of May River Oyster Stew or a side of Tobacco Onions with a Crispy Flounder entree. Rack of Lamb or Sauteed Calf’s Liver are among the creative non-seafood entrees.
Chef, owner and operator Charlie Sternburgh, who was previously head chef at the Jazz Corner, can be seen cooking every entree.
Seating is indoor or outdoor on the covered patio (especially for smokers), and the best seating is at the small bar with a view of the open kitchen. Reservations are a good idea if a table is wanted.
Watch for an occasional wine dinner, cooking adventure or other special event.
