Marina di Pescoluse, on the Ionian coast of the southern Salento Peninsula, is known for the white sandbars that appear during low tide. The white sandy beach and clear shallow water make this a popular place for families with children and the beach has earned the Blue Flag designation for its clean water and environmental friendliness. Sand dunes separate the beach from the road.
During summer, several private beaches operate along this stretch of coast where you can pay for a deck chair, umbrella, and changing room. Private beaches have bathrooms with showers, parking, and snack bars or restaurants. Some have music at night, too.
