Hidden away on the 23rd floor in the Mandarin Oriental hotel’s sky lobby, this enviable space is a tea lounge by day and a cocktail bar by night. Ride the elevators up from the street-level entrance for free to be mesmerized by the Strip panoramas seen out the floor-to-ceiling windows. Come after dark for drop-dead gorgeous views.
If you want to sit and enjoy it all, you’ll need to order something. During the day, exotic teas are served. Traditional afternoon tea (from $45 per person) brings scones with Devonshire cream and finger sandwiches, but also more inventive treats like a bento box full of mini cupcakes or chocolate truffles. In the evening, sip a champagne cocktail (from $18 each) with an Asian twist and nosh on spoonful-sized gourmet appetizers that harmonize the flavors of East and West.
