If you want to know the definition of summer, visit Mac’s Shack. Dine outside at the happenin’ raw bar in a crushed seashell parking lot. Or join Wellfleetians in a long line to dine (just as casually) inside this big post and beam, colonial landmark. And order up some fresh sushi or other creative coastal cuisine.
The Shack is pricier than the Mac’s Seafood + Market Grill on the Pier.
Since 1996, Mac has been purchasing littlenecks directly from the fishing boats dotting the harbor. He sautes, smokes, and fries them, then serves the little guys to ravenous eaters on the casual outdoor patio of his harborside eatery. His linguine with white wine sauce (and of course those divinely fresh clams) is a top choice. His smoked pâté , mussels, clambakes and veggie plates aren’t so shabby either. Bring some IPA, grab a seat at sunset and enjoy a low key dining experience. You can also get burritos and other goodies to go. (508-349-0404)
Their fish market is next to the pier location.
