Plain or filled with delectable flavored custard, Leonard’s malasadas have become a true iconic snack of Oahu. Let’s just say, everyone is excited when someone shows up at the beach barbeque holding that pink pastry box.

Flavors like chocolate, custard, li hing (salty dried plum, a favorite snack in Hawaii), cinnamon sugar and haupia (coconut) are the daily available flavors, with a special monthly flavor such as guava. Although Leonard’s is known primarily for their malasadas, their other specialties are just as delicious. Grab a pastry, cookie, coffee cake, pie or pao doce (Portuguese sweet bread). You can even rent their “Malasadamobile” for events and parties to get hot, fresh malasadas on the spot. Leonard’s is located a short distance outside of Waikiki.
