Lek & Rut Seafood is one of several street side seafood restaurants in Chinatown that have a crowd packed in every night of the year. This restaurant, along with T & K Seafood right across the street, occupy the corner of Yaowarat and Phadungdao roads, right in the center of Chinatown. Tables and chairs are packed together on the street here, as both tourists and locals compete to get a seat. It can be pretty steamy sitting out here during the hot season, but it is still worth it. The seafood is fresh and delicious, and the prices are lower than many seafood joints in the neighborhood, yet the taste is far better. It’s a fun happening scene, and is really worth coming by for a meal if you happen to be in Chinatown at night, surrounded by all the glittering neon lights and general hubbub.
