The Authion Massif is a huge plateau about 2000m/6562ft above sea level between La Bolène Vésubie and Sospel.
The road between the two towns is used by the Monte Carlo Rally and traverses the Col de Turini providing a very exciting spectacle!
Above the Col the plateau itself provides an interesting circular drive during which many ruins of military structures dating from revolutionary times (late 18th Century) to the end of WWII.
