A great way to cool off!

Water sports make Lake Pleasant Regional Park one of the Valley’€™s most popular summer destinations, especially with families. Go boating, water skiing, jet skiing, swimming or tubing here. If you don’€™t have a boat, you can rent one at the Scorpion Bay Marina (www.scorpionbaymarina.com).

Or, spend some time fishing. The lake stocks 12 species of fish including bass, catfish, tilapia and sunfish. You’ll need a license to fish at Lake Pleasant. Fishing licenses can be purchased at most sporting goods stores or from the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

During the winter, you can comfortably hike or camp here. Enjoy petroglyph hikes, ranger talks and stargazing . Don’€™t miss the new Discovery Center, where you can learn about the history of the area and desert wildlife.
