I’m not a camper, but I want to go camping at KOA – Wisconsin Dells. I’ve got my eye on one of its cabins dubbed “Monopoly houses” because that’s how they looked to some folks when they were being unloaded onto the site. Accordingly, the owners gave the cabins names like “Boardwalk” and “Park Place.”
The tiny homes feature a main room with double bed, table/chairs, TV and fridge, plus a bathroom and second room with a bunk bed for three. They also include pillows and sheets.
For those who aren’t as wimpy as me, the campground also features cabins sans bathrooms, sheets or pillows, plus, of course, traditional campsites and 50-amp, pull-through RV sites with cable.
Amenities include a heated pool with water features, volleyball, basketball, a playground, laundry facilities, free WiFi and a game room. There are also free evening movies and a fully-stocked convenience store. Staff will happily fill your propane tanks.
Oh, and check out the bathrooms and showers. They’re some of the cleanest you’ll ever find. And can’t forget to mention there are typically seasonal specials, such as discount cards free with every stay.
