Karoo Restaurant and Kafe

Although you can, now you don’t have to drive into Provincetown to enjoy Karoo’s fabu (and well-priced) cuisine. Karoo Restaurant and Kafe opened this bigger restaurant in Eastham in early 2013.

Karoo takes its name from the Khoisan word meaning “land of thirst” and quench our palettes it does! — with delish vegan, veggie and gluten-free options. Chef Sanette Groenewald has brought a little of her Cape Town hometown to our Cape of the Cod.

From peri-peri chicken to Cape Malay stew, you can’t go wrong in this cool joint. New to this food — they offer a primer.

I’ve seen a lot of eateries come and go in this space, but I have a good feeling about this new one!

Check out the menu at their Provincetown “Kafe” location @ 338 Commercial St (508-487-6630).
