Jane serves lunch and dinner, plus a little happy hour in the bar area and is somewhat new in the renovated Shelter Cove Town Center. It’s bright, friendly and casual offering quite tasty choices. Specials change daily with seasonal delights. When the weather is perfect, the covered outdoor patio is welcoming.
Soups, salads and sandwiches suggest a few twists to the traditional. Consider the Shrimp Mexi Cali salad which is exactly what its name implies. Begin with roasted Carolina (local of course) shrimp and add avocado, gouda, black beans, lime cilandro dressing and a few more touches. Jane’s reuben is more than the traditional, made of in-house stout-cooked corned beef, gruyere, sauerkraut and comeback sauce on marble sourdough or pumpernickel.
The dinner menu includes share plates such as tacos or sliders and main plates of fish, chicken, steak and much more. You’ll have to ask Jane about her recipe for comeback sauce or Sunday sauce which tops the Sunday sliders share plate.
Monthly wine dinners are quite a treat such as a few recent yummy six-course menus for $65, a better deal than most of the neighboring restaurants.
