Off to the left, before the Naqqar Khana, is a path that leads to the Museum of the Independence Movement, (signed as the Swatantrata Sangrama Sangrahalaya). With photographs and newspaper cuttings it details the movement for independence from 1857, through the time of Gandhi, to its realisation on the stroke of midnight on 14 August 1947.
