There’s nothing like IMAX to make you feel like part of the action. The screen at this IMAX Entertainment Complex is six stories high and 83 feet wide.
Of the changing roster of films, one that’s almost always on view daily at 10am is Branson’s exclusive IMAX adventure, Ozarks Legacy & Legend, which follows several generations of the McFarlain family from the 1820s through the 1950s. Capturing the beauty of the area, the 55-minute feature includes scenes of the Civil War, the Baldknobber vigilantes, moonshining during Prohibition, kids falling into a massive cave, and the region’s first bi-plane. It’s a bit over-dramatic in parts, but there’s enough action to keep little ones happy.
Other diversions in the complex include shopping, a movie theater with oversized reclining chairs, the Little Opry Theatre specializing in live bluegrass and country music, and dining, including a food court and McFarlain’s Family Restaurant.
