ICON Orlando 360 is one of the most popular places on the tourist strip. It’s a full entertainment destination with four major attractions, shopping, nightlife and a varied selection of restaurants. The main attraction at ICON Orlando 360 (formerly I-Drive 360) is ICON Orlando, a 400-foot tall observation wheel providing spectacular views of Central Florida that include the downtown Orlando’s skyline and nearby theme parks.
Other popular stops at ICON Orlando 360 include Madame Tussauds Orlando, internationally known for its collection of celebrity wax figures; SEA LIFE aquarium with a 360-degree ocean tunnel; Skeletons with 450 animal skeletons; and the Arcade City gamer complex.
For shopping, everything from a Walgreens drug store, flip flop and sun glasses stores and the ICON Orlando 360 gift shop. The Tin Roof live music joint and Cowgirls Rockbar, with Orlando’s only mechanical bull, provide the evening’s entertainment as does the ICON Orlando observation wheel and its light show.
A very popular outdoor attraction is the grass-covered courtyard where people throw Frisbees after dark and even dance to the live music at the nearby Tin Roof. Anyone who wants to spend a day here will find several chain restaurants to choose from including Outback Steak House, Buffalo Wild Wings and Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
