Literally a hole in the wall on Via dei Cimatori, this stand-up place serves sandwiches starting at 2.50 euros.
The sandwiches are basic, slapped together in about 10 seconds each, though there’s the unusual matter of the wine selection. A small glass goes for as little as 1 euro, though one can secure what is probably the cheapest glass of Brunello di Montalcino in all of Florence for a jaw-slackening 3.50!
Strangely, their no nonsense, fast food has earned them a nod from the Slow Food folks.
