This lovely little place is an honored Flower Village (Village Fleurie), as well as one of the most beautiful towns in France (Plus Beaux Villages). You need only walk the streets to understand why. Flowers are growing everywhere, and the historic steep-roofed houses, town hall, and old fountains are well preserved.
The town’s prime attraction is the 14th-century Church of Saint Jacques le Majeur, which is adjacent to a cemetery on a hill at the edge of the village, surrounded by a fortification wall. Inside, notice the Gothic choir and fresco panels focused on the legend of Saint Nicolas.
