It’s not too far out of the way, though their claim to be only “five minutes walk” from the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery is a little ambitious. However, it is a pleasant property, with an elegant dinning room and bar and a nice terrace which affords views of the river (the view is better in fall and winter when the trees are bare). The 36 rooms are comfortable enough, though the somewhat dizzying patterns on the floors, walls and furniture are a bit much. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV, mini-bar and safe. Also the desk staff are super nice. Fun fact: this place was briefly Allied headquarters during the War! Breakfast is included. Parking is available.
