I learned how to dance listening to Motown, so it’s fun reliving my childhood at Hot Hits Theatre. Motown Downtown features the quartet’s renditions of songs by the Temptations, The Four Tops and other songs from the ’50s through the ’70s, including R&B, soul and Doo-Wop. A couple of the singers also pay tribute to James Brown and Marvin Gaye with convincing impersonations.
Also appearing here are Doo-Wop and the Drifters paying tribute to Johnny Moore’s 1962 Drifters and singing the hottest hits of the ’50s through ’70s, ventriloquist and comedian Phil Thomas, and the Country Sunshine Show playing the songs of Patsy, Loretta and Tammy.
I also like this theater for its downtown location and it’s small size (just 84 seats), making it a good alternative to the larger and glitzier theaters on The Strip.
