The Holy Land Experience is a living Bible museum with costumed characters, high-tech facilities and dramatic performances. It all takes place in the re-created city of Jerusalem of roughly 2,000 years ago.
Featured sites include the Garden Tomb where Christ was buried; the Qumran Dead Sea Caves; Wilderness Tabernacle and Great Temple and Plaza. These aren’t simply hollow shells but elaborately designed structures both inside and out.
Perhaps the most remarkable feature of the Holy Land Experience is the Scriptorium, which contains the Van Kampen Collection of several thousand manuscripts, scrolls, and other religious artifacts dating back to 2200 B.C.
The Holy Land Experience holds the distinction of offering a significantly lower admission rates for kids 3-5. Many theme parks offer no discounts for this group.
