Officially measuring more than 550 feet high, High Roller is currently the world’s tallest observation wheel. Yup, it’s even bigger than the London Eye or the Singapore Flyer. To get here, stroll down to the east end of the LINQ pedestrian promenade, then buy your tickets and climb aboard one of the slowly moving, glass-walled observation cars.
It takes about a half hour for a full rotation around the wheel, during which you’ll be bombarded with narrated commentary as you try to snap photos of all the amazing views from on high. It costs more to ride the wheel at night, when it’s colorfully lit up. But you’ll see more of the astounding desert scenery that surrounds the city during the day. Then again, you can do both if you buy an all-day pass. Other special offers include all-you-can drink happy hours and discounts for buying tickets online in advance.
Tip: If you’re driving here instead of walking, use the valet parking service available near the LINQ’s back entrance off LINQ Lane, which runs parallel to the Strip farther east.
