Overlooking the Singelgracht, the Heineken Experience is housed in the former company headquarters (1864-1988). Inside a self-guided multimedia tour will take you through the brand of Heineken, from advertising campaigns to beer-making, before depositing you in a strategically placed gift shop.
There are some interesting things to see, including the draught horses in their original stables and the copper vats, as beer was brewed here for 120 years. The high(er) entrance price is offset by two “free” beers (or soft drinks) towards the end of the tour.
Buy your tickets online to save a couple of Euros and expect to spend at least an hour inside. Under 18’s are allowed in but only with adult supervision and only for the non-alcoholic drinks.
