The annual festival is celebrated in the park on the beautiful Beaufort waterfront for four days each Memorial Day weekend. It’s an educational and entertaining event observing the African American culture of the Sea Islands. Additional events often are presented in area churches.

Music, dancing, storytelling, dramatic performances, lectures, crafts, food and kids’ activities vary each year, and thousands of visitors fill the hotels to join the fun. Tickets are available for individual events, single days, a full weekend package or VIP admission.

No alcohol is sold or allowed.
