When it comes to the Dells’ mega-resorts, Great Wolf Lodge is the only one that caters to the younger set. How? Every night, there’s a story hour, with loads of other kiddie activities filling the resort schedule. The waterpark rides trend toward the 12-and-under set (although the Howlin’ Tornado ride will please adventure-seekers). And the adjacent, interactive MagiQuest game is affiliated with the resort.
One of the more popular room types to rent is the “KidCabin” Suite. The suite features bunk beds and a day bed in a faux cabin, complete with a door and two windows. Condos are available as well.
The resort also contains a game room, various eateries, including a Pizza Hut Express, and two spas: Elements Spa Salon and Scooops Kids’ Spa. Elements offers several massages, facials, nail and hair treatments for adults and teens, while Scooops has manicures, pedicures and facials for younger kids.
During the holidays, the resort creates a life-size gingerbread house. You can pay to dine inside, with proceeds going to a charity.
