Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg, like the other Great Wolf properties in the U S., marries a hotel to a mega-indoor water park. At the 79,000-square-foot water wonderland, you and your kids, as well as hundreds of others, splash down water slides, float down a lazy creek, get doused with buckets of water, and sprayed by cannons. Raccoon Lagoon, the outdoor water park, expands the wet play space in summer.
If you can get your kids out of the water, they’ll also like the character appearances and evening story time, as well as the arcade, 4-D theater, mini-golf, kids spa and ropes course. Those children running around waving magic wands are on a MagiQuest, an interactive game to thwart evil.
Along with standard rooms and regular suites, you can opt for themed suites whose partitioned areas for kids suggest a camp or a log wolf den. Great Wolf Lodge understands kids.
With the hotel’s recently launched Wine Down Service, we know that the company understands adults. As a parent, after day of frolicking through pools and down plunging slides with your children, you might crave a glass of wine, but your weary progeny are asleep. With Wine Down Service, a staff member delivers a bottle of wine accompanied by cheese, cured meats or dessert at a time you choose between 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., texting you just prior to delivering the goods so as not to awaken your kids. The Wine Down Service packages start at $35 and include delivery.
