This one is for fans of rock formations! Bearing scars from the time a massive glacier moved over it some 20 million years ago this natural formation itself is now protected by a giant tarp from a seemingly more destructive phenomenon: air pollution.
The gardens surrounding the rock are pleasant enough, and the Alhambra-style hall of mirrors a nice dose of retro, but overall, the price is a bit much, especially considering that one of Lucerne’s most famous monuments (ie, the Lion Monument) is right nearby and free. A combined ticket to the Bourbaki Panorama costs CHF22/12.
It’s open every day of the year bar one.
