A visit to Gina’s — a mainstay in Dennis since 1938 — immediately evokes the feeling of summer. In fact, if I am passing through town, I would not miss a visit to this lively eatery (with its down to earth bar and equally earthy setting).
Chef Chris Lemmer has been whipping up fabulous northern Italian dinners here since 1990. Dishes to splurge on include garlicky shrimp scampi, mussels marinara, and chicken “gizmondo.” Now that I have you hooked, I should warn you: The restaurant is small, wildly popular, and won’t take reservations, so if you don’t care to wait, you must arrive when they open, or wait until after 9 PM. Or follow the locals who put their names on the waiting list, then take a sunset stroll on nearby Chapin Memorial Beach.
Gina’s is so Old School they don’t have a website, but they are on Facebook.
