There’s a cozy, old-world atmosphere at both Giacomo’s locations — one in the North End and one in the South End. Which to go to? That’s the first of many decisions you’ll have to make. Both locations are cash only. The North End doesn’t take reservations, offer valet parking or serve desserts, but then again… it’s in the North End.
Once inside, your decisions get even more difficult. For instance, there’s the superb frutti di mare (shrimp, scallops, calamari, clams and mussels) or the spaghetti drowned in Fra Diavolo sauce. It’s also a toss-up between lobster ravioli in a garlic cream sauce and a butternut squash ravioli in a proscuitto, mascarpone cream sauce.
Fortunately, you’ll discover, any choice is a good once at Giacomo’s. (But if you decide on the North End location, be prepared to wait for your table!)
