Strasbourg has a terrific public transportation system (CTS) that links major areas of the city by bus and tram. Most leave from the main train station on Place de la Gare, as well as from convenient platforms throughout town.

Tickets are priced the same for both buses and trams, and may be purchased from vending machines at any station with cash or credit card.

Stamp your ticket before boarding a tram. Bus tickets are stamped on board. Information, route maps, and schedules are posted at each station.

Active visitors may want to rent a bike and hit the trails. More than 248 miles (400 km) of track wind through the town, and bikes are available at the main train station and at 10 Rue des Bouchers .

In Colmar, TRACE (The Society of Urban Transport) runs an efficient bus system with stops throughout the city. The TER (Regional Express Trains) operate a well-developed train network from Colmar to neighboring towns.

Rental bikes are available at the train stationc in Strasbourg and Colmar.
