Gere-a-Deli has was established in Anacortes since 1981. Started by present owner Laurie Gere, the deli has remained a family owned and operated business. Gere-a-Deli is located in historic downtown Anacortes in an old brick bank building built in the 1920’s.
The locals describe the deli as an institution, the hub of our community. The locals have voted us the best deli soup, salad, business lunch, quick lunch, clam chowder, sandwich and catering 25 years in a row.
They serve homemade traditional family recipes such as Granny Gere’s BumbleBerry Cobbler & Grandma Mcphee’s Meatloaf along with soups, salads, desserts, breads and rolls and pastries all prepared in house daily.
They are open for dinner on 1st Friday Night of the Month (5-9 p.m.), for a table service atmosphere with all entrées including a stroll through a bountiful salad bar. That is the night of the First Friday Art Walk in Anacortes.
I have not had the opportunity to review Gere-a-Deli’s offerings but I have read some excellent reviews.
