Artificially blue skies with fluffy clouds float over Elysian fields of designer boutiques. Stalwart houses of fashion – Armani, Dior, Versace – and youthful names like 7 for All Mankind and Juicy all find their place in this faux Roman marketplace with over 160 shops. Ladies, look out for Agent Provocateur for lingerie. Meanwhile, Lush and Kiehl’s carry everything good for your body.
Now for the weird stuff. The mall’s kitschy animatronic fountain shows retell the myth of Atlantis and stories of Roman gods throughout the day. Meanwhile, a 50,000-gallon saltwater aquarium with over 100 different species conducts public feedings and gives behind-the-scenes tours daily, perfect for antsy kids who are bored out of their gourds after marching around the mall.
Instead of traipsing through Caesars Palace casino, you can enter the mall via the Strip, where a grand rotunda with copycat Roman statuary and a spiraling escalator feel almost worthy of a red carpet.
There’s free Wi-Fi near the Apple Store and throughout the mall (select the Simon network on your device for the latter option).
