On the first Friday night of every month, locals head downtown (Chinatown) for a night of art, culture, amazing food, drinks, and dancing. Nu‘uanu Avenue, the main thoroughfare in Chinatown turns into a pedestrian-only street, where some people gather to watch street artists and performers. Others go on gallery walks before bar-hopping their way around the area. Follow the crowds and your bound to stumble upon something interesting. Some local favorites are the jazz lounge The Dragon Upstairs and the performance art space ARTS at Mark’s Garage.
