Just a few blocks from Waikiki at the top of Kalakaua Avenue, this small and simple fabric store attracts customers from all over the world. Upon entering the sea blue building (picture is of their east side location), the aisles of bold color prints will consume you. Bolts or spools of Hawaiian printed fabric come in myriad color combinations. There is a collection of traditional tapa style prints in browns and blacks that sit just an aisle away from foliage prints as well. The floral aisle may require a pair of sunglasses for some, but those in the know can decipher what prints are appropriate for business, halau hula and relaxing.
