Casino impresario Steve Wynn has done it again. This glam casino hotel at the north end of the Strip is the sequel to the Wynn resort next door. Encore delivers on the hype, with more of what the original is famous for: Italianate design, high-stakes gaming, high-flying chefs’ dining rooms, hot nightlife at XS and Surrender ultra lounge, and the posh Encore Beach Club that draws a sexy crowd in summer.
Book a hotel suite and valet park at the private VIP entrance, far away from the hoi polloi on the Strip. Sinatra, the resort’s Italian restaurant, and vibrant Andrea’s steakhouse are both elegant, if overpriced dining destinations, or just stop by VDKA bar for a cocktail. Afterward, slip down the Esplanade to find fashion boutiques like Chanel and Hermès.
The Encore and Wynn resorts are connected by an interior walkway. Northbound Deuce and SDX express buses stop right outside on Las Vegas Boulevard.
For hotel guests, the mandatory nightly resort fee is waived if you book a suite.
