Boutique condo hotels adjacent to Las Vegas casinos are nothing new. But few of them have such a prime mid-Strip location, attached to the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood casino. Elara, formerly called Planet Hollywood Towers and managed by Westgate, is now a Hilton Grand Vacations property.
Like at any condo hotel, the actual quality of each studio, one- or two-bedroom suite varies, depending on who owns them, and some do look tired. But you’re practically guaranteed to get a kitchenette or full kitchen, a jetted whirlpool tub in a marble bathroom, a flat-screen TV, comfy mod furnishings, and a splash of color on the walls. Studios are bigger than average hotel rooms, measuring almost 400 square feet, while bedroom suites are among the Strip’s most spacious. Note that smoking is prohibited here.
Elara has its own private swimming pool, fitness center and business center. Expect looong check-in lines, and just forget about valet parking or the taxi queue here. Consider walking over to the valet and taxi stand at the Miracle Miles Shops instead.
