This is one of those city sights that stop you in your tracks – a building a half-block from the Venice boardwalk embellished with gargoyles, centaurs, goblins and what-all. It’s not a bar or club so you can’t get a drink, it’s not a Goth clothing store or a wax museum. It’s a real live apartment house – maybe you’ll get lucky and see one of the denizens.
