Einstein House

A Homely Museum, Reltively Speaking

Save to my Account

Did you know that Einstein developed his theory of relativity while working for the Bern patent office? Find out more about his life, loves (the story of his wife Mileva’s struggle and heartbreak is particularly moving) and all-important scientific work at this museum, housed in the modest apartment he lived in with his young family from 1903 to 1905.

A short biographical film (20 minutes, all told) provides solid detail on Einstein’s life, and displays in the apartment illuminate the story of his game-changing theory, E=mc².
