This is New Zealand’s National Arboretum with more than 131 hectares of exotic and native trees, climbers and shrubs.  Planted by Douglas Cook, it is the ‘largest and most comprehensive collection of Northern Hemisphere trees south of the equator’ and delightful to visit at any time of year throughout the four seasons.
