Whereas nearby Prince Arthur Street offers a pedestrian-only cobblestone thoroughfare of touristy restaurants and clubs, the Plateau’s residential tree-lined Rue/Avenue Duluth offers a few more upscale eateries and boutiques, but this time with the traffic.

It’s home to the likes of Au Pied de Cochon, Vertige and Khyber Pass restaurants; specialty shops such as Les Chocolats de Chloé and the local Birkenstock dealer L’Oiseau Tonnerre; and a concentrated collection of some of the most colorful building murals you’ll find in all of Montreal — true urban works of art.

The sidewalk stroll extends from Parc Lafontaine to St. Laurent Boulevard.

A geographic word of note: Google Maps titles the street AVENUE Duluth Est or Ouest (east or west) while many businesses mark their address as RUE Duluth.
