An Ironwood staple, Don & GG’s has been serving the western U.P. for decades. Toni Belman has been the owner for 12 years; the idea is to continue “the great food and great service.”

The Friday fish fry is crazy-popular. Also, cheese curds – Wisconsin is just across the Montreal River; people often cross the small bridge without realizing they’re leaving Ironwood, Michigan, and entering Hurley, Wisconsin. Additional favorites are trout and homemade cheesecake.

Features include Up North Caesar Salad, Superior Smoked Trout Salad, Manitowish Salad, Bavarian Burger (with prime rib), Woodland Ravioli and Guido’s Revenge. The vegetarian Spy vs. Spy is a burger that’s half black beans, half white beans.
