Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort has 409 Wilderness Cabins with individual curbside parking. The cabins, which look like traditional log cabins built by pioneers, have about 500 sq. ft. of living space.
They can sleep up to 6 in a bedroom with double bed and bunk bed. The living area includes a pull-down double bed. The cabins also come with one full bath, living area, private patio, charcoal grill, picnic table and a fully equipped kitchen. Feel free to dirty the kitchen up: Housekeeping does the dishes for you.
Full amenities include fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and cooking and eating dishes and utensils; dining table with seating for 6; cable TV; DVD player; air conditioning and heat; and patio deck with picnic table and charcoal grill.
You can drive out for groceries or have Disney deliver them to you from their campground store. You can even pre-order all your supplies to have them waiting for you when you arrive.
Perhaps the biggest asset is the chance to canoe, fish and walk through the Florida outdoors. For a description of all activities, restaurants and entertainment, see the Fort Wilderness Resort entry.
