Barcelona has ten accessible beaches, with wi-fi and excellent amenities and services. Almost 5km of sea and sand which are cleaned every day and where you can cool off and sunbathe. You will find everything you need to have a great day at the beach. Below you will find a list of amenities available along the beaches.
There is nothing more pleasant than having a drink or a bite to eat in our swimsuit at one of the beachfront snack bars.
There are restaurants and snack bars all along the seafront and some right on the beach. The Olympic Marina is also a good spot for al fresco dining.
The Mediterranean sun is strong – use sunscreen. Many of the beaches have loungers and umbrellas for rent.
There is children’s play equipment along the different beaches, rope pyramids, and other climbing equipment is available.
You will find all kinds of equipment and craft for hire, ranging from windsurfing boards to sailing boats.
Several lockers and change rooms are available all along the seafront.
Wash off the salty sea water at one of the 87 freshwater showers on the beaches. 8 of them are adapted. You also have at our disposal 130 public toilets. 31 of them are adapted.
You can get to the beach by bus, metro, bike, and even by car. There are car parks, metro stations and bus stops near all the beaches.
Platja de la Mar Bella is the only designated nude beach. However, you may see some people bathing nude on any of the beaches. Topless sun tanning is also popular at all of the beaches.
From south to north starting at the W hotel; the beach names are Sant Sebastiá, Sant Miquel, and the very popular Barceloneta. Next is Somorrostro, Nova Icária, and Bogatell. Continuing on is Mar Bella, Nova Mar Bella, Llevant, and Zona de banys el Fòrum.
